Competence: Culture and World Heritage


ATC has worked since its foundation on improving the mutual understanding of culture and tourism, raising awareness among cultural institutions for a sustainable tourism industry to raise the funds needed for the upkeep of our cultural heritage on the one hand and for the need not to overstress the utilisation of cultural goods and thus threatening their very existence.

Client: Sofia Municipality
Beneficiary: Sofia Municipality
Development of a Tourism Strategy for Sofia with the aim to promote the city's positioning in the field of cultural tourism through detailed planning activities and targeted selling of its assets and attractions in an intensified competition among European cities.

Development Concept Cultural Landscape Garden “e-garden in the Dirndltal” and “Dirndl Experience” in the Pielachtal

 

Austria, 2005 - 2008
Client: “Verein Daheim” im Pielachtal
Designing a development concept and business plan for the Pielach Valley in Lower Austria, providing it with an unique and coherent regional profile to market its agricultural, horticultural, industrial and tourism related products more effectively. Focus on product development, marketing, training and public private partnerships.

Technical assistance for the "Promotion of the cultural, tourist and human ressources in the cross-border region"

Institution building, secondary legislation drafting and training concerning the movable cultural heritage and cultural goods 

Romania, 2007 – 2008
Client: Austrian Agency for European Integration and Economic Development (PHARE-Twinning)
Beneficiary: Ministry of Culture and Religious Affairs
Improving capacity of the ministries and subordinated bodies involved in the protection of moveable cultural goods in order to combat illegal trade and export, theft, destruction and forgery. Development of a monitoring, co-ordination and IT system to form an integrated protection strategy.

Preparation of the technical specifications and implementation of the supply contract for the media programme

Mayerling: Visitor Center

 

Austria 2000 - 2004
Client: Heimat Österreich
Creating a concept for and implementing a multifunctional visitor centre in the Franciscan Convent in Mayerling, a highly popular tourism destination (Site of the famous double suicide of Rudolf, German prince of Austria and his lover Marie Vetara). Prior to the start of the project, a feasibility and market study were conducted to determine the potential flow of visitors before developing a long term marketing strategy.
